Contemporary Dance

In conformity with its mission of development of the domestic dance scene, its creative linking with other artistic fields and regional and broader promotion, STANICA Service for Contemporary Dance has invited the renowned choreographer and performer Ivo Dimchev to be this year’s visiting choreographer.

With the selected domestic dancers Ivo Dimchev will realize a new performance whose opening night will take place in Belgrade this summer and afterwards will be promoted in Zagreb, Sofia, Skopje and Ljubljana.

A Word from the Author:

"The majority of performances that I have created or seen in the past few years addressed frustrations, war, politics, social, aesthetic or theatre problems. Exactly for this reason I have the need to take a totally different direction with the performance "Enjoy July" and to investigate the phenomenon of human PLEASURE and some possible and impossible ways of enjoying the summer of 2007."
