The association Seecult.org was founded in 2002 for the purpose of development of open culture and art scene of Serbia and the region, and establishment of interethnic and multicultural cooperation in the region and its integration in Europe. In late 2003 it initiated the Portal for Culture of Southeast Europe
www.seecult.org where up to now it has published more than 23,000 news, reports, reviews and interviews of its own production.
The aims of SEEcult.org are to create an information, cultural, education and documentation platform for production and exchange of information and experiences; to build a comprehensive online database on the cultural scene in the region; to encourage active participation of citizens in the cultural life; to assist the cultural institutions in planning and exchanging programme contents, as well as the artists and their organizations in presenting their creative endeavours and in being more active participants in current events, in demonstrations and other rallies in Europe and worldwide. SEEcult org is establishing the development of critical attitude in the society and breaking stereotypes; it pays special attention to young creators, extra-institutional scene and projects that point to different phenomena in the society, tendencies either positive or negative that have to be changed.
At BELEF 07 SEEcult.org is presenting itself with the project Electronic "Visitors Book" – online comments on the event, which will be entered either on the spot or sent to the addressbelef@seecult.org
