RENDE

The publishing house RENDE was founded in the year 2000, with the mission to publish, distribute and promote authors and titles belonging to the margins of literature, and very often to the margins of the society. Its activities are focused on publishing quality literary works with the desire to contribute to transformation of general atmosphere in our society that has been for a longer period of time poisoned by chauvinism and aggressive prejudices of all kinds. The clearly profiled editions form a platform for further cultural activities through organization of festivals, public meetings, round tables, discussions on activities addressed by Rende, which frame the political and social context formed by each and every book individually. Moreover, this publishing house deals with the production of short documentary films, for the purpose of further illustrating and encouraging the dialogue with reference to valuable ideas that have been neglected in our society.

At BELEF 07 Rende is presenting itself through a multimedia promotion of the book "Going Out" by Barbi Marković. The Belgradeyard Soundsystem will be guest performers in the scope of this event.
