Project dez org – a Group of Artists

The name dez org (disorganization) is assembling eleven artists of the youngest generation of different interests, different orientations, yet of uniform attitude with reference to conquering/activating a new space in the public and in articulating their own place of speech, in terms of meaning and in economical terms. This group of artists wishes to achieve recognition and to promote its work but also to initiate a platform for evaluation of work of their own generation of artists (artists after the 1990s, middle of zero years) and for opening the potentials that this city and its young people possess. Dez org does not want to deal with criticism or reproduction of the already existing "system" of visual culture and arts in Belgrade; it wishes to structure the values that will add another, new quality to our art scene. Dez org is working on its parallel functioning with the current state of affairs, which would be an interesting development for the environment in which the values have been ultimatively taking turns.

At BELEF 07 dez org is presenting itself with the results of the international workshop delivered in Kraljevo in summer 2007, in the scope of the project BORDER DISORDER.
