3. August 2075: Artistic Scene in Belgrade and Yashi, Romania, 70 Years Ago

Nebojša Milikić

The author will compare some artistic and production practices in Belgrade and Yashi (Romania) seven decades ago, mainly from the period 2000 to 2005. Although they were developing under relatively different socio-political circumstances, the two scenes were showing some marked similarities regarding conditions for production and presentation of visual arts. After research and presentation of selected data from the specific period, the lecture gives a cursory insight into artistic and ideological discourses in the region at the beginning of the century.
