Chuck SperryChuck Sperry is an artist living and working in San Francisco. The art scene of the Golden Gate city exerted a strong formative influence on Chuck Sperry. During the four years he spent in New York, Sperry was the editor of the famous World War 3 Illustrated, which is still one of the most distinguished magazines in New York. After a series of art projects, he founded Firehouse workshop, with the assistance of his collaborator Ron Donovan. Since 1997 Firehouse has churned out about 500 posters for the likes of Rolling Stones, Garbage, Lee Hooker, Pearl Jam, Madonna, Beastie Boys and Suicidal Tendencies. Sperry’s workshop has been exhibiting its works in many European galleries since 1999. They have also recently opened a graphic design studio in Milan, Italy. Chuck Sperry accepted a request to come up with a new graphic design work specially for this year’s BELEF project "In the Name of ...".
