The summer performance entitled The Heat is happening in an unused, unexplored, original and not well known space, interesting and inspirational in a creative sense. The intention of Ister Theatre is to discover, show and keep from forgetting other forms of presentation, in different spaces, ensuring an interactive theatrical impression, much closer to the public than the one resulted in theatre halls where people watch passively.

ISTER is the ancient name for the Danube River connecting two different worlds and two different civilizations. Ister Theatre was founded on 1 January 1994 as a theatrical troupe with an aim to explore and to try connecting and using different dance techniques and various theatrical expressions. Using the process of associations, Ister finds out a form of expression, based on the principle of giving and taking, that is capable of communicating with the audience in the best way. Topics, images and provocations of the environment provide a challenging opportunity for a creative expression towards oneself and others, in expectation of a contact and a reaction.

Ister Theatre is one of the founders of ANET, the Association of the Independent Theatres. It is the member of CID International Dance Council and CENPI, the Center for the New Theatre and Dance. Ister Theatre cooperates intensively with Teatro della Contraddizione from Milan (participant of the project Stagione Esperimentale Europea), with the Centre for Contemporary Dance from Bucharest and Volksbuhne from Berlin. Ister Theatre participated several times in projects aimed to animate alternative non-theatrical areas in the city (the street Traveling, bookstore Zagor, The Miniature 5, the cafe At the Monument's, Shoes for Hands).
