o predstavi:
Predstava koju izvodi Torpedo nastala je prema jednom od najznacajnijih nemackih dramskih dela,"Dantonovoj smrti" (1837) Georga Bihnera (Georg Buhner). Komad je neposredno inspirisan Francuskom buržoaskom revolucijom, a posredno - Bihnerovom potrebom za neprestanim ukazivanjem na ljudska prava svakog pojedinca, a posebno na pravo pobune. Komad pocinje u trenutku kad Revolucija "umire", a na scenu stupa diktatura, dok se dramska okosnica gradi na oponiranju stavova Robespijera i Dantona, jednog "puritanca" i drugog "nihiliste"...
Posmatrano sa aspekta forme, ovo je ''tragedija krize''. Bihner uništava dramsku akciju kako bi "uništio" heroje. Dramski centar komada nalazi se stoga u tehnici terora i mehanizmu vlasti, korespondirajuci sa našom trenutnom istorijskom situacijom na više nivoa.
Predstava univerzalizuje problem postrevulucionarnog vremena sagledavajuci ga kao globalni/evropski, a ne lokalni fenomen.

o trupi:
Torpedo je od 1997. godine gostovao na više festivala u Evropi. Predstave ovog teatra videla je publika od Holandije do Bugarske.

o reditelju:
Darijan Mihajlović (1972, Beograd), jedan od osnivaca, reditelj i producent pozorišne trupe Torpedo. Diplomirao je na FDU u Beogradu, u klasi profesora Ljubomira Draškica. Momentalno je zapslen kao asistent na FDU. Dobitnik je mnogoborojnih nagrada za najbolju pozorišnu, odnosno filmsku režiju. Režirao je osamnaest predstava i tri filma. Autor je dva dramska teksta.

about the performance:
The Torpedo Theatre Company has based its performance on one of the most important German drama plays "Danton's Death" by Georg Buhner (1837). This piece has its direct inspiration in the French Revolution. It also embodies clearly Buhner's need to remind us of the human rights of any individual, especially the right to revolt. This piece begins at the point where the Revolution "abates" and dictatorship comes on the scene. The drama framework is being developed on the opposite opinions of Robespierre and Danton, one being "a Puritan" and the other "a Nihilist".
This is "a crisis tragedy" observed from the aspect of form. Buhner destroys a drama action in order to destroy heroes. Therefore, the highlight of this piece is in the technique of terror and power mechanism, corresponding to our current historic moment on several levels.
This performance makes a post-revolution period issue universal observing it as a global/European phenomenon rather than a local one.

The Torpedo Theatre Company participated in numerous European festivals in 1997. The audience from the Netherlands to Bulgaria has seen its performances.

about the director:
Darijan Mihajlović (1972, Belgrade), one of the founding members, is a director and producer of the Torpedo Theatre Comapny. He graduated from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade. He is currently working as an assistant at the same faculty. He has received numerous awards for the best theatre or film direction. He directed 18 plays and three films, and wrote two dramas as well.
