GUDAČKI KVARTET ŠPENGLER (Velika Britanija)

Miloš Petrovic violina

o orkestru:

Spengler String Quartet (GB)
Marija Špengler, violin
Miloš Petrovic, violin
Maxim Rysanov, viola
Kristine Blaumane, cello

about the orchestra:
Spengler quartet has performed in England, Italy, France and Hungary. It won the first prize at Guildhall School of Music and Drama String Quartets Competition in London and recorded Kurt Weil's quartet for BBC Radio 3.
The programme of Spengler String Quartet consists of first-class pieces for a string quartet and trio composed by four Slovenian composers. The oldest piece on the programme (Janacek's 1. string quartet "Kreutzer's sonata") composed in the most prolific period of the composer's creative work was inspired by a novel written by Leo Tolstoy. Henrik M. Gorecki, a Polish composer, is one of the most popular composers of the present. His 1. string quartet is a distinctive lyrical apotheosis to Nature accomplished by simple music forms that are very close to minimalism. Penetrating ethereal sounds is a primary characteristic of a piece for a string quartet titled "Silver sounds", a masterpiece by Ludmila Frajt in which this composer has even used the sounds of silver tea spoons. Ljubica Maric, Serbian distinguished composer, finds primarily inspiration in archaic melodic elements of our region that are also present in her piece for a string trio, one of the most important pieces of her chamber music.
