"Postoji želja za oslobadjanjem. Iako nas našš um i naše misli ponekad koce u tome. Da li neko istinski može sebi dati na volju i ponašati se slobodno ako ne zna šta ga ceka u buducnosti? Da li je sigurnije ostati unutar svog sopstvenog sveta? Gde se može pronaci zaštita i sigurnost? Da li u domu, na radnom mestu ili u zagrljaju voljene osobe? Kako ucimo da dopustimo drugima da nam se približe, da imamo poverenja u njih i da verujemo sebi i drugima? Da li mi, kao pojedinci, imamo kontrolu nad svojom buducnošcu ili je neko drugi usmerava?" Performans cine savremena igracka/plesna tehnika i koreografija. Nastao je tokom cetvoromesecnog studijskog boravka V. Grin u Jugoslaviji, istraživanjem navedenih razmišljanja zajedno sa učesnicima radionice pod cijim je okriljem predstava nastala.
"Shvatili smo da su ova pitanja univerzalna i primenjiva na svakoga ko se nalazi na životnoj prekretnici. Iskoristili smo decije igre kao orudje. One su nas vodile kroz naše istraživanje i pokušaj da se vratimo u bezbrižno stanje decije svesti, u vreme kada je svaki novi susret jedna avantura koju treba prigrliti oberucke, radovati joj se. Na kraju, ovaj performans predstavlja na odredjen nacin otelotovorenje realnosti života svakoga igraca. Izazov i putovanje kroz "Klis", kao i studijski boravak, imao je za cilj ponovno budjenje osecaja samospoznaje i postizanje unutrašnjeg mira. Svi mi smo jedinstvene licnosti - složene i divne. Nadam se da možemo biti i slobodni kako bi raširenih ruku prigrlili svoje živote, jedni druge i svoju buducnost." V. Grin

o autorki i trupi:
Valeri Grin (Njujork), koreograf i umetnicki direktor trupe; diplomirala je ples na Univerzitetu Viskonsin - Medison. Imala je mnogobrojne nastupe u Njujorku gde je izvodila svoja i dela drugih trupa. Saradjivala je sa plesnom trupom i školom Erika Hokinsa 6 godina. Poslednjih godinu dana, tokom svog boravka u Beogradu, pored rada u BITEF-u, ona je predavala ples u Orhestri, Kulturnom centru Stari grad i na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti.
"Valerie Green/Dance Entropy" osnovana je 1998. i predstavila se širom SAD, u Francuskoj, Italiji, Kanadi, Hrvatskoj, Bosni i širom Srbije.

about the piece:
"There is a desire to break free. Although sometimes our brains, our thoughts hold us back. How can one truly let go and act freely if one does not know what lies ahead? Is it safer to stay inside our own private world? Where can one find security and safety, is it at home, in the work place, or in the arms of a loved one? How do we learn to let others in, to trust and believe in them and ourselves? Are we as individuals in control of our own future, or is someone else?" V. Green

This performance consisting of contemporary dance technique and choreography. During her four months' residency in Yugoslavia Valerie Green researched and contemplated the above-mentioned thoughts along with the participants. This performance includes the students' creative movement developed during this period.
"We found the issues to be universal and applicable to anyone involved in some life transition. We have used childhood games as a tool to take us on our path to explore and attempt to return to the carefree state of the child's mind, when each new encounter was an adventure to embrace and enjoy. In the end the new piece embodies the reality of the life of each dancer in some way. The challenge and journey through "KLIS" and the residency was to regain a sense of self understanding and inner peace. We are all unique individuals - complex and beautiful, it is my hope that we can be free to embrace our lives, one another, and our future." V. Green

bout the author and the company:
Valerie Green (New York), choreographer and artistic director of the Company; graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in dance. Valerie has performed extensively throughout New York City dancing the work of other companies and as well as her own. She also worked with the Erick Hawkins Dance Company and School for six years. This past year in Belgrade besides working in BITEF, Valerie has taught dance at "Orchestra", The Culural Ceneter "Stari Grad", and the Faculty of Drama Arts. "Valerie Green/Dance Entropy" was created in 1998. and has been presented at throughout the United States, as well as in France, Italy,Canada, Croatia, Bosnia, and throughout Serbia.
